The World We Have Today

We now have wider freeways

But our perspective is narrow always

We spend more on irrelevancies

But spend less on our enterprises

We buy more than we can chew

And enjoy less that which are not new

We build big and splendid residence

Yet our families are small and condense

We have more conveniences

But less time to achieve its uses

We have more degrees and qualifications

But less understanding to its applications

Our expectations has graciously swollen

But our problems has not for once fallen

We have more medicines than before

But incurable illnesses are twice more

We have multiplied our assets

But have reduced our etiquettes

We’ve talk too much about our self

But seldom listen to ethics of pelf

We have barely loved one another

But swiftly hated friends and strangers

We have learnt how to make a living

But have never made a life worth believing

We have easily added years to life

But life to years we’ve done with strive

We have been all the way to the moon and back,

But to visit a neighbour is what we lack

We have conquered outer space and beyond

But our inner man we worship as a god

We have sanitized the air as a whole

But have succeeded in polluting the soul

We stand bravely tall in quantity

But on our knees we are in quality

Ruled by tall men with short disposition

Rewards with deep profit and shallow correlation

We have higher income and low morals

We learn more theories and less practical

We live in the era of global warming

But what we get is domestic burning

We have the supply of food on the increase

But kwashiorkor is our incurable disease

We spend more to build houses and tombs

But have less regards for broken marriages and homes

SOMETHING INSIDE OF ME

There is something inside of me
That I want the whole world to see
It is neither massive nor small
But it is the greatest gift of all

It makes me humble and meek
And it’s free to them that diligently seek
It answers my prayers as soon as I pray
And when I kneel it creates a way

Though easy, yet surpasses the wise
The prudent are beaten twice
And only them that reads between the line
Knows that these words are not mine

When it comes out like a song
It makes me to forgive wrong
And when it comes out like love
It is in the similitude of a dove

It elevates the low and simple
It brings gentleness to the humble
It is the best thing that can ever occur
When it comes in contact with the poor

It crowns good success at the end
For it is an in need and indeed friend
And whenever it is called upon
Seldom disappoints, right on time with joy

There is something within my soul
And it mends the broken whole
For I have tried it and you can see
That it is Jesus on the inside of me

SUCCESS IS THE RESULT OF WELL DIRECTED ENERGY

The first rule of success, and one that supersedes all others, is to have energy. It's important to know how to concentrate it. Focus your energy on important matters instead of frittering it away on meaningless things.

Nothing will add more power to your life then concentrating all your energies on a limited set of goals. You must focus the full power of all you are on what you have a burning desire to achieve if you truly want to be successful.

Gather in your resources, rally all your faculties, marshal all your energies, and focus all your capacities upon attaining your objectives. You must be single minded, and drive for the things you have decided upon.

Corruption proliferates speedily
Evades the table of bread and wine
The masses without an option
Feeds on food meant for swine

The Green Men has left the imperial seat
Their bullets fly… creating extra breathing holes
The Men in Black joins in the deceit
Make friends in each other's eye foes

Money, women and popularity
Remains the goal in the ruler's mind
As sincerity and truth in this city
Seems onerous to find

Tears are shed in place of laughter
Sorrows till dawn won't take flight
Melancholy in the masses lives
Oh God what a fruitless plight

Those in power feeds like no tomorrow
Leaving no tidbit for poor dogs
In this struggle for survival
The diplomatically transmute like frogs

Since man can't kill his greedy nature
The masses should endure till a better future
As many lay their head down to sleep
Praying that the Lord their soul keep

BELIEF MAKES EVERYTHING POSSIBLE

In order to succeed, you must first believe that you can. The only true limit to your realization of tomorrow will be your doubts of today. The only thing that stands between you and what you want from life, is the will to try it and the faith to believe that it's possible.

The moment you carry the conviction of belief, in that moment your dream will become reality. you think you can, you can do it. So what do you believe in?

SUCCESSFUL ACTION IS CUMULATIVE IN RESULTS

Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out. Many people take the first step and stop. Yet, with every additional step you take, you enhance immensely the value of your first step. All masters of success are chiefly distinguished by their power of adding a second, a third and perhaps a forth step in acontinuous line. Many people would say seven No's before they would say one Yes.

There is no royal road to anything. One thing at a time, or as the song puts it "one day at a time", all things in succession is the rule of life. That which grows fast, withers as rapidly. That which grows slowly, endures. Do not despise the bottom rings in your ascent to greatness
