Things We Miss

You ran through your entire years
Not stopping to enjoy each passing day
And you took every guy you met for granted
As you traveled your primitive way

As you faced pain and ardent sorrow
Something inside pulled you through
That something was private and special
Sent from heaven for such a one as you

You never stopped to measure
The good tidings you carelessly miss
And since the world never did slowed down
You always miss the good night kiss

And now your tender heart seems heavy
Filled with regrets and a great deal of pain
No one dares to console you
But I say – remember this once again

Remember those you took for granted
Because they were too young to be called thine
And the precious moments you never started
Were the tender and lovely kisses of mine,
